These days, though, the place is looking much more lively. The city is full of the hiss and bell of heavy industry, proving that the religious spirites of Silverspire are no Luddites when it comes to technological advancement. There is a grand bakery that encompasses an entire city sector: the G.S.B.C., the Grand Silverpity Bakery Complex. Within, tourists and foreign advisors from the Snowpitia Novo orchards that feed this place can find the only source of color in the otherwise gray world composing and surrounding Silverspire. The spirites live happily under these conditions: there is plenty to drink till merry, and plenty of good work to be done.
On the fringes, however, deep in the cold storms about, something is brewing.
For a peaceable trading city, there's an awful lot of troop movements. And munitions. Equipment.
And now, talk of 'harvesting'.

>2026-08-16 03:15:23: Head Paladin Cottonmaw is a fierce sort, but unlike her predecessors, she seems open to talks with the other nations of the world.

>2026-08-20 13:17:17: A neigh cataclysmic roar rips through the air of Silverspire. But it is not the end times. Soon enough, there is that familiar sound of hot metal presses, and a lava-hot foundry sizzling distantly. Silverspire has constructed its first advanced factory.
>2026-08-23 00:26:47: Wood is a rare commodity in Silverspire, but the thud of rocks and stones against one another brings just as much whooping and hollering to foreign travelers as it would in their parts of the world. A second bar has opened — the badlands don't look nearly as gray after a few drinks.
>2026-08-27 04:28:58: Coffee? Coffee! And plastics, too. Silverspire is really starting to look like a modern city, even with all the gray.
>2026-08-31 11:17:23: Silverspire's ponies now zip between the highly-planned streets of their ever-growing city in their own private vehicles. Additionally, the city has been split in organization into several self-governed sectors. In the end, though, they all still answer to the Council of Silverspire, and pray at the words of Head Paladin Cottonmaw.
>2026-09-03 04:00:03: Silverspire now has a functional video arcade! It seems unclear if they plan to expand it. Or add color displays.
>2026-09-06 02:15:30: Armed with plenty of plastic and pies, the new toys circulating through Silverspire's streets are a sure sign that future spirites will be growing up with active imaginations their parents never could have conceived.
>2026-09-13 14:04:08: Silverspire maintains silence about its activities in the Frozen North, but there is now enough evidence for the world to clearly see it: without a doubt, there is a massive facility in the cold wasteland north of Silverspire. Foreign nationals claim they're harvesting something. But what?
>2026-09-18 20:32:02: The city of Silverspire has gone completely autonomous: likely due to the distant nature of Head Paladin Cottonmaw in the current phase of Silverspire's development, the city's democratic city sectors have been officially decentralized. The Council of Silverspire still deals with all foreign affairs in Central Silverspire, and Head Paladin Cottonmaw is certainly not lost, if rumors about sightings of her in the Frozen North amid her patrols can be believed. Time will tell how this affects the spirites' spirit.
>2026-09-19 01:22:22: Almost immediately after the closing of legislation in Central Silverspire, several major city sectors announced the creation of new malls to service the spirites of North Przewalskia. While the spirites have always strived to bring meaning back to their city, the luxuries afforded to them, now, are far beyond the expectations set forth in common spirite doctrines. There remains yet no word from Head Paladin Cottonmaw. Alternate sources allege that she could not be more proud of the new governments for developing their needs independent of central guidance.
